We are proud to say we work with farmers in The Small farm association (SFGA) Is a partnership between small family farmers, exporters and importers with the common goal of maintaining a sustainable production chain with respect for everyone and as little impact as possible on the environment!

The SFGA is aware of the climate problems because many themselves are regularly affected by this.

Persistent rainfall resulting in floods or prolonged periods of drought that lead to a loss of production for farmers, who are often already in a vulnerable financial position.

The farmers of the SFGA produce on a small scale, according to the Bio-Organic principles, in a way that most closely resembles permaculture, the crops that are grown are therefore less susceptible to diseases.

Because this way of production, fertilisers and pesticides are unnecessary.

The biggest responsibility of the SFGA farmers is to grow sustainably according to the Organic principle. The external control of this comes from the exporters who regularly come to inspect the activities and through laboratory analyses products are regularly tested for presence phytosanitary or microbiological contaminants.

Worldwide, it has been agreed that the C02 emissions must be reduced in order to slow down further rapid climate change.

The task of the SFGA exporter amd importer is also to limit the impact on the environment. After all, transportation from farm to the retailer is accompanied by the emissions of CO2, the intermediaries in this take the responsibility to compensate the CO2 emissions by the purchase of CO2 certificates via a verifiable blockchain system.

Emissions also create undesirable CO2 footprints for the other parties in the chain and that is why members in SFGA take their own responsibility in this to contribute in the interest of everyone.

The Small Farmers Green Association is convinced that cooperation between stakeholders in the production chain reduces the gap between producer and customer by creating an understanding of each other’s situation. In addition to the sustainable aspect in the field of the environment, it must also offer opportunities for future members so that they can be involved in the production of specific products at a Fair-Trade price.
